Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Codestallion ("we", "us"), the makers of Drive Kip, for using the website at drivekip.co.zw and the Drive Kip apps. By creating an account or using Drive Kip you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

Your account

• You must be at least 16 to create an account, and give us accurate details.
• Keep your password and devices safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account, and should tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• One person per account. To work together, invite people to your garage instead of sharing a login.

Car records and reminders

Drive Kip helps you keep track of services, renewals and fuel, and reminds you before things are due. Reminders and calculations (such as next service, fuel consumption and running costs) are only as good as the records you enter, and a reminder can fail to arrive (for example if notifications are switched off). You remain responsible for keeping your vehicle roadworthy, licensed and insured on time.

Garages

• The person who sets up a garage is its owner. The owner decides who joins and with which role, and is responsible for the garage's account and plan. Managers can manage members and the garage's work.
• The garage is responsible for the information it keeps about its clients, for having their agreement where the law needs it, and for its quotes, invoices, prices, VAT and tax. Drive Kip is a tool to produce and keep these records; it does not give tax or legal advice.
• A garage's records belong to the garage. If you leave a garage, its records stay with it.

What you add

You keep ownership of the records, photos and documents you add. You give us permission to store them, show them to you and the people you share them with (such as your garage's team), and make the copies needed to run Drive Kip (such as backups and smaller versions of photos). This permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from backups, which expire on their own.

Only upload photos and documents you have the right to share, and don't add anything unlawful, misleading or harmful. We may remove content, or suspend an account, that breaks these terms or the law. Where we can, we will tell you first and explain why.

Plans and payments

Drive Kip is free to start. Car owners can move up to Standard or Unlimited, and garages to Standard, Pro or Business, for higher limits and extra features. An owner plan covers your own account; a garage plan covers the whole garage, and only its owner or a manager can buy or change it. Prices are shown before you pay.

• On the website, plans are paid through PesePay (EcoCash, cards and other wallets), in US dollars or ZiG, for a month or a year at a time. They don't renew by themselves; we remind you before a plan runs out, and paying again adds the time on. If something went wrong with a payment, email us and we will put it right.
• In the apps, plans are subscriptions through Google Play or the App Store. They renew automatically each month or year until you cancel in the store; you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow Google's and Apple's refund policies.
• When a plan ends, you go back to the free plan. Nothing is deleted, but you can't add beyond the free plan's limits, and features it doesn't include are switched off.
• We may change prices or what a plan includes. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before it applies to you.

Using Drive Kip fairly

Don't try to break, overload or get around Drive Kip's security; don't access accounts or garages that aren't yours; and don't copy Drive Kip's data in bulk.

Our service

We work hard to keep Drive Kip running and your records safe, but Drive Kip is provided "as is". We can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Keep your own copies of anything important, such as invoices you must keep for tax.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, including missed renewals, fines or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be limited.

We may change or stop features. If we ever decide to close Drive Kip, we will give at least 60 days' notice so you can take your records with you.

Ending

You can stop using Drive Kip and delete your account at any time. A garage you own goes with your account if nobody else works there; if others do, hand it to one of them first. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription, so cancel that in the store. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in Drive Kip or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using Drive Kip after that, the new terms apply.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of Zimbabwe, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
